Ingredients
For 4 servings
- 480 ml (2 cups) cold whole milk
- 360 ml (1 1/2 cups) freshly squeezed orange juice, well chilled
- 3 to 4 tbsp sugar, or to taste
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups ice cubes
- Orange slices, to garnish
Step by step
Step 1: Make sure both the milk and the orange juice are very cold. This is the secret to a smooth drink.
Step 2: Pour the milk into a large jug, add the sugar and vanilla and stir until the sugar dissolves.
Step 3: Add the ice to the milk.
Step 4: Slowly pour in the orange juice while stirring constantly. Adding the juice to the milk, never the other way around, keeps it creamy.
Step 5: Taste and add a little more sugar if you like.
Step 6: Pour into glasses, garnish with orange slices and serve right away.
